Farallones de Cali is one of the most important natural areas in western Colombia. Located just west of Cali, this national park protects a dramatic mountain range in the Western Andes and is famous for its biodiversity, waterfalls, rivers, cloud forests, and hiking trails. The park covers nearly 200,000 hectares and ranges from about 200 meters to more than 4,000 meters above sea level. Because of this huge difference in altitude, visitors can find several ecosystems in the same park, from tropical rainforest to high-altitude páramo.
